It was a very significant exercise to track down and then find these golf course locations. You would think that such golf courses would make finding then with useful maps and useful direction easy … believe me for most this is not the case. Bushman Sands in the province of Eastern Cape was designed by Gary Player and constructed by Golf Tech. The nearest centre or region is Grahamstown. The golf course is in the Bushman’s River canyon at Alicedale which is small historical town associated with the 1820 Settlers that arrived from England. A 4 star hotel is in the grounds and it is clsoe to Shamwari the famous Eastern Cape Game Reserve.

Chintsa River

Chintsa River in the province of Eastern Cape was designed by Peter McEvoy, Craig Cooke and constructed by Group 5. The nearest centre or region is East London. It is 35 minutes from the airport, on the coastline on the north side of East London. Chintsa Golfing Estate is in a marine wetlands area and much of the original natural habitat has been preserved. Surfing, fishing and horse riding activities are all close by as are some of the best beaches in the world.

Tsitsikamma golf Estate

Tsitsikamma golf Estate in the province of Eastern Cape was designed by Golf Data and constructed by African continental Development . The nearest centre or region is Port Elizabeth and Plettenberg Bay. This coastal golf estate has wonderfully satisfying views of the Tsitsikamma National park and the Indian Ocean. Fly fishing has also made Nottingham Road famous.

The Lodge of Prince’s Grant Golf Estate in the province of Kwa Zulu Natal has 15 rooms. It was designed by Peter Matkovitch who also did the construction. The nearest centre or region is Blythedale Beach on the Dolphin Coast and is 20 kms from Ballito Bay and a drive of 45 minutes from Durban. There is a private laggon and the area is a bird watcher’s paradise.

San Lameer Country Club

San Lameer is on the far south coast of Kwa Zulu Natal and is one of the first residential golf courses and country clubs. It is 160 kms from Durban along an excellent highway that passes many charming coastal resorts. San Lameer Country Club is a more recent development and it has a tidal swimming pool with lots of indigenous plants decorating the complex.

Numerous fynbos species of plants grow in this reserve.
