Example and How to Use SafariNow Interactive Maps
SafarNow is the leading online accommodation supplier offering more than 5000 establishments to choose from. The range goes from Houseboats to top of the range Boutique Hotels. The SafariNow site is probably the most useful accommodation and travel related site available today. SafariNow has booked in excess of 1 million bed nights for satisfied customers.
This leading online travel supplier offers a complete range of search possibilities to help identify the perfect itinerary. The map below has been shown to highlight to power of the search methods available. Please refer to the comments below the map to understand how to get the best from the map based search. Use the QUICK links on the left hand side of this page to go direct to any of the SafariNow maps. To improve loading time the images below are shown in very low resolution.
In the top right hand corner of the image you can choose to display a HYBRID map view which will show a Google Earth image including roads. You can also choose MAP view will show all the establishments on a traditional road map and choosing SATELLITE view will show the Google Earth aerial view image only (as above). Notice that you can switch from MAP view to LIST view using the tabs at the top of the screen. While not shown in this image there is also a conventional search box shown at the top of each page.
The red markers represent the exact geographical location for each establishment in the selected region. When you click a red marker a small window will open showing an image and a link to a specific establishment where you can get more detailed information. See the example shown to the left.
In this image I have also chosen to show the MAP view ... notice the detailed road map which can be zoomed into to see very detailed map information that will guide you to your chosen establishment.
The navigation links on the left hand side of each SafariNow map page enable you to select the kind of accommodation you would like to search for using the map. For example you might just want to see hotels or camping grounds. This list allows you to filter and see just what you want to see.
While not shown on the large image above there are also links to maps of the most popular visitor regions for example The Garden Route.
